Top Hotels in Pantai Kok, Langkawi

Pantai Kok is a place of verdant greenery, dense rain forests on the mountain slopes, and lovely views of the ocean from waterfront chalets or beachside rooms. So if you are looking for a hotel or a resort in a place which is calm & tranquil and offering a great romantic ambience, then Pantai Kok can be the place for you.

Since the place is relatively undisturbed, there are not too many hotels here. Most of the hotels along the beach are luxury resorts. In fact Pantai Kok is one of the places in Langkawi which is designed towards luxury tourism. You will hardly find budget accommodations here.

some luxury resorts here are spread across vast stretch of forested land on the hill slope and provide exclusive accommodations in villas and chalets, some of them overlooking the sea. They use battery operated carts to transport the guests between various points in the resort area. While riding the cart, you can often see many animal life including monkeys, lizards, squirrels etc and lots of colorful birds.

Pantai Kok area is also complimented with several fantastic attractions including the breathtaking Cable Car ride to the top of Mount Mat Cincang, the awesome Seven Wells waterfalls and more. Telaga Harbor with its picturesque yacht Marina, and string of waterside boutique shops and restaurants are also located in the Pantai Kok area.

Geopark Hotel Oriental Village

(Budget/Mid-range)
The hotel is located in Oriental Village at Teluk Burau and at the foot hill of Mount Mat Cincang. The hotel offers 3-star amenities. It overlooks a nice small lake, and has 30 rooms, an outdoor pool and retail shops & restaurants all in a charming environment. It's in an ideal location for visiting the Mat Cincang Geopark and taking the cable car ride to the top of the mountain.

Tidoq Inn & Cafe

(Budget)
This is a small budget hotel with 12 rooms and located little in the interior in a locality known as Kuala Teriang, although not too far away from the main road Jalan Pantai Kok. It offers free Wi-fi. The cafe "Coco's Bistro" located at its back side is quite popular here with the locals.

The Danna

(Luxury)
It's a grand five star property located next to the Perdana Quay of Telaga Harbour Park. The key offerings include superlative rooms with fine blend of British colonial style and modern amenities, 3-tier infinity swimming pool, a private beach, and the wonderful view of the marina and the mount Mat Cincang mountains.

This is a plush 5-star resort on Burau Bay and spread across 70 acres of land area amidst 500 years old tropical rain forests. It has 350 rooms. There are chalets in the rain forest and premier ones right on the waterfront. One of our favorites here is the Thai restaurant on ocean water with wonderful views of both water and the mountains. It can be accessed by a board walk. The string of chalets on water with red roofs, is a fantastic scene by itself.

A 5-star resort located on the Batu Humpar beach. Although the beach is not private, it is mostly occupied by the hotel guests. It offers many rooms overlooking the pool as well as the beach which is right next to the pool. There are rooms with garden view as well. Other than spas & restaurants, the resort also has a bar & restaurant where the music plays on till late hours and is a popular night spot in the island.

Mutiara Burau Bay Resort

(Luxury) X Closed
Located on the Burau Bay Beach, the resort offers 4-star amenities with cottages, restaurants, pool and bars spread across a nice & spacious garden landscape. The private beach is fringed with coconut trees and with view of offshore islands and mountains on the far side of the beach, it offers a picturesque setting. It's a great place to lounge in the sun or engage in watersport activities. The resort has 150 units. Update September 2012: There is a change in ownership and large scale renovations are planned. Closed until further notice.

Tanjung Sanctuary Resort

(Luxury)
This is a five star resort with 30 villas spread across some 67 acres of area amidst tropical forests. There are beachside, sea-side and hill top villas. The resort is ideal to mesh with the nature and enjoy many animal and bird life within the resort area itself, and therefore the word 'Sanctuary' as part of its name. Other than all the luxury amenities, some of the great things that we love about this hotel includes the sunset lounge, a sit out area in the bar where you can hang your feet literally inches above the water while enjoying a drink, and the very friendly & charming service. Overall it offers a great romantic and exclusive ambience. Update January 2013: Redevelopment under progress. A new resort is coming up. Closed until further notice.
